Man Utd ‘OUT of Jude Bellingham transfer race’ with Dortmund ‘fine’ at prospect of losing England World Cup star in 2023

MANCHESTER UNITED will NOT sign Jude Bellingham in the summer, according to reports.

The England international, 19, has lit up the World Cup so far with sensational performances against Iran and Senegal.

Jude Bellingham has produced incredible performances for England at the World Cup[/caption]

He is being heavily linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

But according to Sky Germany, he will NOT be completing a transfer to Old Trafford.

Earlier this season, Erik ten Hag’s men were thought to be in the race to sign the teenage prodigy.

However, they are now not believed to be in the running to acquire his signature come the end of the season.

Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City are the three frontrunners to acquire Bellingham.

And Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has made the England midfielder his No1 summer target.

But Liverpool will have to pay up a huge fee if they are to secure his services.

Dortmund’s price tag for their superstar captain is now thought to be between £86-129million.

Prior to the World Cup he had already been having a breathtaking season, with nine goals and three assists in 22 appearances.

And his supreme displays in Qatar have only increased his value ahead of the second half of the domestic campaign.

Bellingham, who joined Dortmund from Birmingham in 2020, will remain with the Bundesliga giants until the end of the season.

They are still in the Champions League and will face Chelsea in the last-16.

But Europe’s giants all expect him to depart come the summer – and Real Madrid and Man City are preparing to hijack Liverpool’s bid.

Man Utd transfer news: Bookies reveal FULL LIST of most likely forward signings in January to replace Cristiano Ronaldo

MANCHESTER UNITED are actively pursuing a new striker in January following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

And there are several high-profile targets who could join Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford during the winter, according to bookmakers Betfair.

Cody Gakpo is Manchester United’s most likely January addition, according to Betfair

Ronaldo, 37, left United shortly after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV.

His departure was “mutually agreed” but leaves the club short on genuine striking options with 24 matches of the campaign remaining.

Reports suggest Ten Hag will look to remedy that situation in January, and Betfair think there’s one stand-out option in Cody Gakpo.

Gakpo, 23, has shone for the Netherlands at the World Cup.

He’s scored three of Holland’s eight goals, adding to the 13 he’s already registered for PSV Eindhoven in the 2022-23 season.

SunSport understand United chiefs are ready to make an approach, and could be prepared to meet PSV’s £50million valuation.

Gakpo, though, has insisted his full focus is on helping the Netherlands to World Cup success.

Man Utd transfer odds – forward

Betfair odds

  • Cody Gakpo – 7/4
  • Matheus Cunha – 12/1
  • Ivan Toney – 14/1
  • Mohamed Kudus – 16/1
  • Kylian Mbappe – 50/1

He said: “I’m not thinking about that now. I’m just really focused on the tournament, trying to keep performing well and helping the team and hopefully when we become world champion then I can think about that.”

Behind the 7/4 favourite Gakpo is Atletico Madrid’s Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha at 12/1.

However, Cadena Ser claim Wolves are close to winning that battle with Cunha possibly being the first signing of the Julen Lopetegui era.

Brentford’s Ivan Toney is next at 14/1 ahead of 16/1 shot Mohamed Kudus, who’s also earned plaudits for his performances in Qatar.

The final name in the frame is Paris Saint-Germain and France superstar Kylian Mbappe (50/1), who is reportedly eyeing a Parc des Princes departure.

Man Utd ‘line up Yann Sommer free transfer with Switzerland goalkeeper tipped to REPLACE David de Gea’

MANCHESTER UNITED are lining-up a free transfer for Yann Sommer, according to reports.

The Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper is in the final year of his deal and is able to move for free in the summer.

Yann Sommer is out of contract at the end of the season

He’s also able to sign a pre-contract from January.

BILD report the Red Devils are pursuing him and he could be lined-up to replace long-serving keeper David De Gea as no.1.

The Spanish stopper has been at Old Trafford for over a decade and has experienced patchy form during periods of his long stay.

He has also failed to impress Spain manager Luis Enrique who not only left him out of the World Cup squad but did not even include de Gea in the preliminary 55-man set up.

In contrast Sommer started Switzerland’s first two games before missing their last match with illness.

The 33-year-old has been at Mönchengladbach since 2014 and impressed with his performances.

He previously spent seven years in the first-team of FC Basel.

Reports have suggested Man United have been trying to find a de Gea replacement for months.

The club have been linked with a move for Porto keeper Diogo Costa.

Scouts are reported to be watching him closely.

The 23-year-old is comfortable in possession and would help Erik ten Hag produce his preferred style of play of passing it out from the back.

Man Utd stars train in Spain as they prepare for friendlies during World Cup ahead of second half of season

MANCHESTER UNITED have begun their warm-weather training camp in Spain amid the World Cup break with many absences and new faces.

In fact, of the 29 players to make the trip, only 11 could be considered regular members of Ten Hag’s first team.

The Dutchman took his players to Cadiz for mid-season preparation as they face a packed December schedule once the 2022 World Cup comes to an end.

The Red Devils are also set for some friendlies as they will take on Cadiz and Real Betis this coming week.

The vast majority of senior players have taken off for Qatar and only Denmark’s Christian Eriksen, Tunisia’s Hannibal Mejbri as well as Uruguay’s Facundo Pellistri have suffered an early exit.

Sancho MISSES United’s trip to Spain, Red Devils target £70m Caicedo

Remaining regulars like David de Gea, Donny van de Beek, Victor Lindelof and Scott McTominay led the pack during drills.

Ten Hag kept a close eye on the youngsters as he will need to rotate this month once club football restarts with United also set for Carabao Cup action against Burnley.

The likes of Brandon Williams, Alejandro Garnacho, Shola Shoretire, Charlie McNeil, Zidane Iqbal, Charlie Savage, Teden Mengi and Di’Shon Bernard all made the flight.

Ten Hag’s eye was fixed on the youngsters, especially during passing drills.

In fact, the 52-year-old tactician focused on passing and move play as he wants his team to play slick attacking football.

Ten Hag needed the academy players to get up to speed, as they will need to apply it immediately after a potential call-up, and the youngsters didn’t disappoint as they showed some fine passing.

It wasn’t just the young that stood out however, as Van de Beek, who has struggled since his move to Old Trafford in 2020, also had some moments of brilliance.

The playmaker flicked the ball to a team-mate behind his standing leg twice within quick succession and brought back memories of his stunning Ajax performances.

Ten Hag wasn’t taking it easy as he regularly yelled his instructions to his players demanding perfection.

United appear to be entering a new era, especially after Cristiano Ronaldo’s dramatic exit from Old Trafford.

The Red Devils ripped Ronaldo’s contract apart after his bombshell interview in which he slammed the club from top to bottom.

‘We need to be respectful’ – Man Utd loanee Amad Diallo asks Sunderland fans to change chant about him

SUNDERLAND loan star Amad Diallo has asked fans at the Stadium of Light to change their chant about his manhood due it’s “lack of respect”.

The Manchester United youngster, 20, has begun to flourish in the North East, becoming a fan favourite.

Diallo asked Sunderland fans to be respectful and stop chanting their new song, which includes a line about his manhood[/caption]

But according to talkSPORT reports, a section of Black Cats supporters ignored his request against Millwall on Saturday.

Early on during the game, the chant – which includes a line about the size of his manhood – could be heard from the stands.

Diallo had previously stated: “Sunderland fans, I’ve had an amazing time so far and I love your energy.

“Hearing you sing my name is incredible, but we need to be respectful.

“Let’s change the song and keep the noise.”

Sunderland went on to hammer the South London club 3-0 as they move into the Championship’s top half.

Fans were pleased with the victory but had mixed emotions over the song.

One fan tweeted: “Before the game: Sunderland urge fans to stop singing the Amad Diallo chant. 20 seconds in: it gets sung.”

The Man Utd star said he loves the energy from the Sunderland fans and hearing them singing his name is ‘incredible’[/caption]

Another added: “Some of the comments on here are embarrassing. Lad has been class for us so far.

“Asks for a tiny bit of open minded thinking and understanding and people are abusing him. Get a grip man.”

Former Atalanta youngster Diallo cost the Old Trafford club £37million to sign nearly two years ago.

The starlet scored just one goal in nine competitive games for United.

And he also struggled during a loan spell at Rangers last term.

But the Ivory Coast international is starting to find his feet at the Black Cats.

And that can only bode well for Sunderland, Man Utd and Diallo.

Man Utd failed in transfer bid to swap Van de Beek for Weston McKennie, according to evidence in case against Juventus

MANCHESTER UNITED reportedly tried to swap Donny Van de Beek for Juventus star Weston McKennie according to a public prosecutor.

The evidence was shown in Juventus‘ ongoing investigation looking into the club’s financial dealings.

Manchester United reportedly offered Donny van de Beek to Juventus in 2021[/caption]

In return, the Red Devils wanted Weston McKennie in a swap deal[/caption]

Juventus club directors were subjected to wiretaps for over a year and now evidence is being presented to magistrates with the request to open a trial into financial irregularities

It has been suggested that in August 2021, the Red Devils attempted the swap deal just a year after the club had signed him from Ajax.

Van de Beek moved to Old Trafford for a fee of £39million and was expected to be a hit at the club.

However, he has failed to cement a spot in the team and has largely been a failure since the transfer.

This led to United trying to get him out of the club and according to Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Marco Guidi, he was offered to the Serie A giants.

Evidently, the move did not go through and the USA midfielder remained in Italy.

He is still a highly desirable asset and Tottenham have been linked with a move for him in January.

It was hoped that Van de Beek would get another chance at United after the appointment of his former manager Erik ten Hag in the summer.

However, he has only played four times in the Premier League this season as the boss has picked the likes of Christian Eriksen, Scott McTominay, Casemiro and Fred over him.

He did have a spell on loan at Everton last season in which he played seven times, scoring one goal.

Man Utd blow in transfer hunt for World Cup ace Kim Min-jae with Napoli set to rip up South Korean’s £39m release clause

MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly received some bad news in their pursuit of Napoli and South Korea defender Kim Min-jae.

The 26-year-old centre-back has impressed for his country at the World Cup in Qatar, playing an integral part in them reaching the last 16 for just the third time in their history.

Kim Min-Jae has been superb for South Korea at the World Cup

His superb form at international level comes after an excellent start to the season in Italy.

Min-jae joined Napoli from Fenerbahce for £16million in the summer and made 20 appearances before the World Cup break, scoring two goals.

And his presence at the heart of their defence has seen them open up an eight-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.

They also won their Champions League group, beating Liverpool, Ajax and Rangers along the way to set up a second round clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.

His swift rise has grabbed the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

United are one of those, but Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also monitoring his progress.

Erik ten Hag‘s men were hopeful a £39m fee would seal a deal for the South Korean given that is the release clause in his Napoli contract.

However, Calcio Mercato are reporting that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis already wants to rip up his current deal – and the existing release clause – in order to tie him down for the foreseeable future.

If the Italians were to pen a new contract for Min-jae, that would make him a far more expensive acquisition for United.

Ten Hag is keen to add to the centre of his defence despite establishing an impressive partnership between Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez.

The accomplished pair have kept club captain Harry Maguire out of the side – although the England international is currently showing his quality for the Three Lions at the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Min-jae’s ability will be tested on Monday when South Korea come up against tournament favourites Brazil for a place in the quarter-finals.

They reached the second round after scoring an injury-time winner against Portugal – a goal which saw them leapfrog Uruguay on GOALS SCORED in an incredibly dramatic conclusion to Group H.
